About Chillaxie Tools

Chillaxie Tools is a small set of free tools for anyone painting a room or trying to pick a color they won’t regret.

Where this started

Chillaxie began as a YouTube channel about DIY renovation and color. Most of the videos are about which colors work together in a specific room, with the exact hex codes so you can match them at the paint counter.

The same questions kept coming up in the comments.

People wanted to know how much paint to buy, or whether a shade would feel too dark in a small room. Answering each one in a reply didn’t scale, so I started building small tools that do the math for you.

What you’ll find here

Each tool does one job. The paint calculator tells you how many gallons or litres to buy for your walls and ceiling. I’m working on more color tools and a few color games, and they’ll show up here as they’re ready.

How the site is funded

The tools are free and will stay free. To pay for hosting and the hours that go into building them, the site shows ads, and some pages link to products on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Buying through a link doesn’t change your price.

If a tool saved you a second trip to the hardware store, you can buy me a coffee. Every coffee pays for a little more time building the next tool.

Get in touch

If something looks broken or a number seems off, send me a message through the contact page. I’d also like to hear which tool you wish existed.

New videos go up every week on the Chillaxie YouTube channel.
