Who runs this site

Chillaxie Tools (chillaxietools.com) is an independent website run from the Czech Republic, registered under business ID (IČO) 29577047. I am the data controller for personal data collected on this site under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can reach me at admin@chillaxietools.com.

The calculators

All calculators on this site run in your browser. The numbers you type in, such as wall sizes or room dimensions, are not sent to me and are not stored on any server.

What data is collected

• Analytics. If you agree to analytics cookies, Google Analytics records which pages you visit, how long you stay, your device and browser type, the site that sent you here and your approximate location. I see this only as combined statistics.
• Advertising. This site shows ads through Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to show ads and to measure them. Ads are personalized only if you consent. Otherwise you see non-personalized ads.
• Affiliate links. When you click a link to a retailer, that retailer may set its own cookies to track whether the click led to a purchase. I receive commission reports but never your name or payment details.
• Email. If you write to me, I keep your email address and message so I can reply.
• Server logs. My hosting provider records IP addresses, browser type and request times to keep the site secure and running.

Legal basis

Analytics and advertising cookies are used only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Server logs and replies to your emails rely on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): keeping the site secure and answering your questions.

Who receives the data

• Google Ireland Limited, for Google Analytics and Google AdSense. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• TMDHosting, which hosts this website.
• Affiliate partners such as Amazon Associates and brands in the impact.com network, only after you click their link.

Some of these companies may process data in the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long data is kept

Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Emails are kept until the matter is resolved and for at most two years after. Server logs are deleted by the hosting provider after a short period, usually 30 days.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing and to data portability. You can withdraw consent at any time through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before.

To use any of these rights, email admin@chillaxietools.com. You can also file a complaint with the Czech data protection authority, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (uoou.gov.cz).

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 16 and I do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
